Leyda, Pinot Noir, Leyda Valley, Chile, 2015 is light ruby red in the glass. It has aromas of wild strawberries, violets, herbs and minerals. The Leyda, Pinot Noir has tart red cherry up front on the palate backed by raspberry, tarragon, earth and minerals. The tannins are very light and the mouth feel is medium and very pleasing. The medium finish has nice acidity to give a well-balanced feel to the wine.

Leyda, Single Vineyard Las Brisas, Pinot Noir, Leyda Valley, Chile, 2013 is dark ruby red. Bright aromas of raspberry, strawberry, cherry with light hints of minerals and mushrooms. The palate explodes with fresh berries with baking spices and some oak in the back of the palate. Soft tannins and crisp acidity lead to a medium finish that leaves you wanting more.
Leyda, Single Vineyard Las Brisas, Pinot Noir would pair up perfectly with brook trout with a roasted red pepper sauce. The wine won’t overpower the fish and the acidity of the wine with the acidity of the sauce is perfect foil for this Pinot Noir. Of course the classic salmon and pinot noir pairing would also be great. The wines acidity to counter the rich fatty fillet of fish.
