Gato Negro Wines, the perfect sips for Halloween

San Pedro, Gato Negro, Pinot Noir, Valle Central, Chile, 2016 has a light ruby red color in the glass. Ruby red cherry, wild strawberry, and graphite greet the nose.  Flavors of tart cherry, tangerine and hit the tongue first, secondary notes of minerals accompany strawberry and raspberry through the mid palate.  The finish is medium with crisp acidity, getting your mouth ready for the next sip.  Enjoy with some grilled salmon garnished with candy corn.

Serve this merlot with pork loin crusted with dark chocolate and espresso beans ground fine together with peanut butter M&Ms on the side.

San Pedro, Gato Negro, Cabernet Sauvignon, Valle Central, Chile, 2017, is dark garnet red in the glass. Aromas of strawberry, raspberry and blueberry fill the nose.  Secondary aromas of violets and graphite sneak in as you swirl the wine.  Tart berries tease the tongue and open up the palate to greet the next sip.  The mouth is rewarded with smooth undertones of citrus and minerals that lead to a long satisfying finish.  Medium tannins make the mouth pucker with happiness. Pair a rib eye dusted with a spice mixture of garlic and onion powders blended with smoked paprika and dried chilis server with chocolate covered cherries.
