Bike to the river for a picnic with Cono Sur, Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc, Chile 2018

Cono Sur, Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc, Chile 2018 is pale yellow in the glass. The nose is filled with pleasing aromas of lemon-lime citrus, summer peaches, wild flowers and tangerines. The palate starts out with a blast of citrus that melts in crisp Granny Smith apple, pineapple, and peach and backed with minerals. The citrus notes bring in nice acidity that rounds out the palate and leaves your mouth ready for the next sip.

With the Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc, Cono Sur salutes the bicycle that powers workers through the vineyards keeping Cono Sur’s carbon footprint to a minimum. The reduction in emissions and their organic and sustainable farming practices keep the grapes free of unnecessary airborne chemicals. Biking around the vineyards is also good for the health of the workers who enjoy working for a company recognized for treating their workers fairly.IMG_2206

Cono Sur, Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc beckons for a picnic on a bluff overlooking a running stream. Hop on your bike, maybe a tandem with a friend and head to the park with a soft blanket, a bottle of Cono Sur, Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc, and some baby arugula, sea salt, extra virgin olive oil and some real Burrata from Puglia. Once the blanket is set and the well-chilled wine is poured it is time for the food. Plate the burrata on a bed of the baby arugula, sprinkle with sea salt and drizzle on olive oil as well. Some sweet sun ripened tomatoes would also be a great addition to this sharing plate.   Sop it all up with a crusty baguette. Enjoy with the Cono Sur, Bicicleta, Reserva, Sauvignon Blanc, you may need two bottles. Oops, forgot your corkscrew? No need to worry the wine is bottled with a picnic friendly screw cap.
